Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
1. The service
QBO Converter ("the service") is a client-side web tool that converts bank statement PDFs into QBO, CSV, and XLSX files for import into accounting software. Processing happens in your browser; the service does not receive or store your financial documents.
2. Accuracy disclaimer — you must verify the output
Bank statement layouts vary, and automated extraction can make mistakes: amounts may be misread, debits/credits misclassified, or lines skipped. You are solely responsible for reviewing the preview and the exported file, and for verifying that the output matches your original statement before importing it into QuickBooks or any other software. The service provides a balance-reconciliation check to help with this, but it is an aid, not a guarantee. We are not liable for bookkeeping errors, misstatements, tax filings, or financial decisions based on converted output.
3. No financial, tax, or legal advice
The service is a file-format utility. Nothing on this site constitutes accounting, tax, or legal advice.
4. License terms
The free tier allows unlimited parsing and preview and export of up to 25 transactions per file. A paid license is a one-time purchase granting one user a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to unrestricted exports for 12 months from the date of purchase. Licenses do not renew automatically — when the term ends, continued full export requires a new purchase, and the free tier remains available. You may not share, resell, or redistribute license keys. Abuse of a key (e.g., public posting) may result in deactivation without refund.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the service only for documents you are authorized to possess, and for lawful purposes. You agree not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for redistribution, or misrepresent the service.
6. Intellectual property
The service, its design, and its code are our property. Your documents and the data extracted from them remain entirely yours. "QuickBooks" and "Intuit" are trademarks of Intuit Inc.; this independent tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that extraction will be error-free or that the service will be uninterrupted. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (in whole or in part) at any time; if we discontinue it during your paid license term, you may request a pro-rated refund for the unused full months.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $19.99, whichever is greater). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.
9. Refunds
If a paid license does not work for your bank's statements, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a refund. Because the free tier lets you test your actual statements before buying, refunds outside this window are at our discretion.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
