Frequently asked questions
How do I download Capital One transactions as CSV or Excel?
Sign in at capitalone.com and open the account or credit card. The activity view offers a download option for recent transactions — pick the spreadsheet (CSV) format and a date range. Monthly statements are PDFs: click the account and choose View statements to download any month. The activity download only reaches back a limited window, so for older months convert the statement PDF with the tool above to get the same Excel, CSV or QBO result.
How far back can I get Capital One transactions?
Online transaction downloads cover recent activity only, while monthly statement PDFs stay available for years. This converter exists for exactly that gap: it reads the statement PDF itself, so any month you can still open as a PDF can become Excel, CSV, or QBO — including statements from closed accounts you saved earlier.
Does it work with Capital One credit cards and 360 accounts?
In most cases, yes. The parser works from layout heuristics (dates, amounts, running balances) rather than account-type templates, so 360 Checking and savings statements as well as Capital One card statements (Quicksilver, Venture, Savor and the rest) generally parse. The balance-match badge confirms the totals before you export — always give the preview a quick review.
Is it safe to convert a Capital One statement here?
The statement is read by JavaScript inside your browser tab and never transmitted anywhere. There is no upload, no account, and no server copy — closing the tab discards everything. That makes it suitable even for statements containing account numbers.
What if my Capital One statement is a scanned paper copy?
Scanned PDFs have no text layer, so there is nothing for the parser to read — the tool detects this and says so instead of producing garbage rows. Statements downloaded directly from capitalone.com always include a text layer and convert normally. OCR support for scans is on the roadmap.
I already paid but lost my license key — what do I do?
Every purchase emails you a Gumroad receipt that shows the license key. If that message is lost, search your inbox for "Gumroad" and open the receipt to copy your key. Then re-activate here via the "Enter license key" link in the top navigation.
