Frequently asked questions
How do I download Citi transactions as CSV or Excel?
Sign in at citi.com and open the account or card. The activity view offers a download of recent transactions in spreadsheet formats; monthly statements live under Statements as PDFs. When the activity download no longer reaches the month you need, download that statement PDF and drop it in the converter above instead.
Why convert the statement PDF instead of downloading activity?
Two reasons. First, the activity download only covers recent months — older statement cycles are PDF-only. Second, the statement is the authoritative monthly record: it carries the opening and closing balances, which this converter uses to verify the extraction math before you export.
Does it work with Citi credit card statements?
In most cases, yes. The parser works from layout heuristics (dates, amounts, running balances) rather than account-type templates, so Citi-issued card statements — including co-branded cards — and Citibank checking/savings statements generally parse. The balance-match badge confirms the totals before you export; always give the preview a quick review.
Where does my Citi statement go when I convert it?
The file goes nowhere: it is opened with JavaScript in your browser tab and never uploaded. The extracted text is parsed on our server in memory and discarded — never logged or stored.
How do I know the extraction is correct?
When the statement's beginning and ending balances are detected, the tool checks that beginning balance plus all parsed transactions equals the ending balance, and shows a green match badge (or a warning with the exact difference). You can edit any row in the preview until it matches, then export with confidence.
I already paid but lost my license key — what do I do?
Your Gumroad receipt — emailed instantly after purchase — shows the license key. If it has gone missing, search your inbox for "Gumroad" and open the receipt to copy the key. Once retrieved, use the "Enter license key" link in the top navigation to unlock full exports again.
